October 30, 20178 yr I want to move Unraid to a new server. Is this as simple as moving the drives and usb stick? My drives are currently installed in a DAS with SAS backplane to an HBA. If the drives are moved to a different HBA, will that matter at all? I am just wondering if they show up in a different order if it will cause problems. Thanks.
October 30, 20178 yr unRAID keeps tract of drives via serial numbers. Take a screenshot of the MAIN tab in your setup before you make the change so you know the drive positions. As long as the current parity drive remains the parity drive in the new setup, you should be ok.

Move drives to new server, move usb stick, boot up, check drive assignment, start array. Sound good?
October 30, 20178 yr SAS controllers can occasionally cause problems with a move - post back if anything looks funny.
