Cache Drive File access

Featured Replies

So again, another n00b question here. I have done research on what the cache drive does and how it works. I do understand the point and how it works but I can't seem to find a direct answer to a question that I have. So I will be running a Plex Media Server with my new unraid. I am going to be adding a 500gb SSD as the cache. But lets say I rip a movie and move it the Movie folder that I set to go to the Cache first. And lets say I'm watching this movie when the mover attempts to move the file to the array. Will the mover fail to move the file because it is in use? Will it Whack my stream because it will remove the file from the Cache location where the transcoder is transcoding from.. I just don't understand how the mover actually does the job. Can anyone shed some light on this.. Basically how does the mover interact to files in cache that are in use during the mover process.

Thanks Y'all
