Hello,

 

I just bought a Dell SAS 9217-8i GTP9G PCI Express x8 6Gbps 8-port SAS/SATA RAID Card on eBay.

 

I should have checked before but is this a good controller?

 

It sounds like I need to flash into IT mode. Is it difficult to flash?

 

My setup:

Motherboard: AsRock EP2C602-4L/D16

CPU: 2 x Intel Xeon e5-2670

 

Total of 9 hard drives. 2 will be put on the on board sata connectors and the other 7 will use the card above.
