Hey Guys:

Always looking for ways to improve my UnRaid Box - capacity etc.  This just in today, enjoy:

George Ou points out that he can put 2.5GB in a HOT SWAP 3-slot cage for ~ $750 using Seagate 500GB Sata 2's - Whoa Baby - or - "Holy ---- Batman!  ;D

Double that in a Stacker for 5 TB of storage, that ought to take care of most everyone even the HD crowd!  Guess I'd better start saving for a 750GB Parity Drive.

The cool thing about Unraid is the concept that 14 drives allows you to grow using good deals.

750 drives are todays big drives but in 6 months they are on sale.

So when you reach the fourth disk, buy your pro/plus key, a decent case, and start bargain hunting.

Using the basickey you save on license, but your parity overhead quickly becomes expensive.

It looks like we have found a cage that is "branded" by yet another company.

If you look to my thread, my cage is branded by Startech. Also in my thread is a link to the same cage branded by "Addonics"

From looking at the pics they all seem to be the same. The AMS one you posted seems to have different trays than the Startech and the Addonics one. But other than that, the lights, switches and everything on the front and back seems identical.

Good to know cause maybe you can find one cheaper than the other.

Cheers
