GVarley
Hey all, Just plugged two new drives into my server, both are detecting perfectly fine. And I want to set one as parity, with another as storage. All drives are 3TB, and are detecting fine. When I attempt to start the new array, I get the attached error. Any help that can be given will be massively appreciated. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
It's an old bug, unassign parity, start the array with both data disks, stop, re-assign parity and start again. 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment

GVarley
Beautiful! Worked perfectly. Parity sync is now going. Cheers! Quote Link to comment
Orlando
Is this bug still there? I just had the same issue. Trying to add a couple of 1TB drives to an existing 8 bay NAS upgraded to the most stable 6.x UNRAID... 1 320GB cache drive, 2TB parity drive, 3x2TB data drives works fine as it has for a decade. Now adding the 1TB data drives (just so they don't collect dust) gives me the invalid expansion message Quote Link to comment
