Changing cache drive

Featured Replies

I've done a good bit of digging, but I can't find anything.  Is there an easy way (or a recommended way) to change out a cache drive and preserve everything on it?

Thanks!

I found that first link previously, but I didn't think it applied in this case - so maybe I don't understand something.

I would like to preserve my docker containers as they exist. It is not clear to me that this method addresses that concern.

Will that method preserve my docker containers?

Both methods will preserve everything, second one can even be done with dockers and VMs running, but on btrfs only like I said.

Thanks for the clarification. I do appreciate it.

After following the steps outline, my new cache drive does appear to have all the prior data intact.  However, the docker containers didn't show back up after re-enabling docker.

How do I get the system to recognize the dockers?

If all was done correctly docker containers would appear as they were, in any case you can easily re-add the existing dockers using the previous templates or CA previous apps, as long as appdata is the correct place all settings will be maintained.

I went ahead and just redid "Add Container" for each and they are all intact working now.

Thanks again!
