August 3, 201015 yr Newegg Afternoon Shell Shocker: Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply Note: This link is only valid from 1 pm - 11:59 pm PST. $29.99 After $20 MIR Pretty amazing deal considering the 400W went for the same price (albeit without rebate) just a few days ago. Note that Antec PSUs usually ship with no power cord.
August 3, 201015 yr Hate I missed this, even though I really don't need it now that I got the 400watt model.
August 3, 201015 yr You haven't missed it, it doesn't go live for another 2 hours. I slap my forehead!
August 3, 201015 yr The deal is on! I kinda wish I needed this PSU now, lol. For those that do, or are contemplating a new 10 drive build, there is a great Antec 300 combo with this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.458433 Now THAT is a smoking deal!
August 3, 201015 yr Author I really don't need an Antec 300, but it is hard to pass up at that price. So I assume you have mostly internal drives in your server? Is it possible to convert the Antec 300 to an all external drive server without too much hassle?

Is it possible to convert the Antec 300 to an all external drive server without too much hassle? Yeah, its all internal drives for me. 6 of the bays in the Antec 300 are internal- it is not a 900 or a 1200 with all external 5 1/2inch bays. But with a 4 in 3 in the top it makes a great cheap 10 drive internal server- quiet and very cool...
August 4, 201015 yr Author Couldn't resist - ended up buying just the PSU since I swore off internal drives many moons ago. I really don't need the PSU at the moment either, but I know I'll need it for something down the line... I compared it to the Corsair 550W and it has almost identical specs, and yet is half the price.
