Bigmonty
Hi, I was going to purchase a Cooler Master 590 case to start my server build however I have ran into difficulties sourcing the right one in the UK. The wiki guide recommends this one http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Coolermaster-Centurion-590-Black-Mid-Tower-Case-w-o-PSU (notice it has 4x3.5 internal and 9x5.25 external), however it is out of stock. They also have this one in stock http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Coolermaster-Centurion-590-Black-up-to-eight-120-mm-fan-Removable-HDD-rack (notice it has only 4x3.5 internal and 5x5.25 external), is there a difference in these two or are they in fact the same case just with the information stated a bit differently? Any help appreciated. Link to comment
Chris Pollard
I would call scan and check, the specs don't seem to tie up with the image. Link to comment
Chris Pollard
Amazon have it listed too, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Centurion-590-Case/dp/tech-data/B0015A2JSA/ref=de_a_smtd little more expensive than scan however Link to comment
Kansur
Not having ordered one from Scan I cannot say with 100% authority, but they should be the same case with the information stated differently. The 590 has 9 exposed 5.25" (though one is setup as a exposed 3.5" bay for a floppy drive by default) bays and uses a 4in3 cage to provide for 3.5" drives similar to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817993002 except that it does dot have the faceplate attached. So if you take out the 4in3 cage you have 9 5.25" bays that you can use and if you use the internal cage then you only have the other 6 5.25" bays available as exposed bays, with one able to be used as an exposed 3.5" bay. Hope this helps. Link to comment
lionelhutz
The part number on that second in stock link matches up to the case I bought and it's the case you want. Peter Link to comment
