VMware Guy needs help

Featured Replies

Totally lost as a vmware guy for years.  How can I access the GUI admin page from another PC on the network?  Seems it's ok locally but there must be a firewall rule?  Is there any port # ?? http://192.168.x.x : port ??

Are you talking about unRAID or VMWare? This is the unRAID forum.

Unraid..  I am trained in VMware only.

There is no firewall so just use the standard browser ports of 80 for http or 443 for https.   Since these are the defaults for those protocols you should not need to enter the port number.

whether you use http or https for unRAID is specified under Settings->Identification

Thanks - for some reason chrome keeps forcing the address to https://  once I got it to go to http://<ip> it works!
