(solved) Slow Cache

Featured Replies

Hello Guys,

can help someone?

My Cache SSD is only writing with 60-67MB/s.

I think its an network problem, because if I do a write speed test, the Cache drops only from 445MB/s to 112MB/s by 10GB.

Network Fast Mode is on and Jumbo Frames too.

Thank you

Edit:

Its not a network problem, because if i copy something from the cache to my local pc, i have the 117MB/s.

CT480BX2 was crucial BX200 SATA SSD ? Connect in SAS expander.

BTW, BX200 is one of worst SSD in the world ( slow in write )

It does look like a network or source PC problem, since first few GBs should be RAM cached and reach line speed.

How can I look where the problem is?

Easiest way would be to test with another desktop, you can also use iperf to test network bandwidth.

You are right.

If I send data, directly over the switch, so i get the full 1Gbits.

But If I switch to an VLAN over my pfsense, so i get only the half.

Update

Its an pfSense Firewall problem.

Client and unraid in one VLAN, i get the full 110MB/s.
