July 4, 20188 yr I have two shares, both contain files that are spread across all disks in the array. One of the shares, I simply cannot access from Windows, I get "The handle is invalid." or "You do not have permission to access...". The account definitely does have permission to access this share, in fact it's setup identically to the second share which works perfectly. So far I have: - Added another user account and given it access - Setting the share to public and accessing it that way - Trying a different Windows 10 machine - Checking the xfs filesystem on all array disks (no error found) - Tried IP directly instead of hostname There also don't appear to be any errors in the logs that I can see. Attached them for reference though. Any help would be much appreciated! 30oc-nas-diagnostics-20180704-1053.zip
July 4, 20188 yr Community Expert A few things: First thing, have you run the Docker safe new permissions plugin. (I believe it is a part of the Fix Common Problems plugin. ) Second thing, read this post and the next dozen or so: https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/25064-user-share-problem/?tab=comments#comment-228392 Third thing, read through these threads and links on Win10 specific issues (Order has no significance): https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/57626-intermittent-unresponsive-samba/#comment-564712 https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/53172-windows-issues-with-unraid/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-625264 https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/71601-windows-10-spring-update-2018-changes-solved/ With WIN10, I am unsure how you delete Windows credentials, but this has often been the source of many of these types of problems. (Stored credentials often log on automatically and this can cause issues.) WIN10 is a real problem because there are so many versions (1703, 1709, and 1803) currently supported plus Home, Professional, Enterprise, and Educational that there are often issues in one reiteration of these that doesn't exist in any of the others. Plus, MS (normally) will update the Home version automatically and the unsuspecting user suddenly has a problem that didn't exist yesterday and he is without a clue that MS pushed an update. If these don't fix the problem, be sure when you post back, you tell us how you are accessing these shares--- Windows Explorer or mapped drive.
