I'm want to upgrade my server to something more powerful and energy efficient. That can transcode 4k video for Plex.

Gigabyte GA 880GM D2H motherboard

Amd Phenom II X6 1055T

8Gb Corsair Vengeance Ram

6-HGST Deskstar 4TB hard drives

2- WD Blue 500GB SSD for Cache

 

What I have so far for new server:

 

Fractal Design R6 Case

Raidmax RX-700AT Titanium power supply

Cryorig H7 Cooler

What motherboard and processor is recommended? Has the idle power draw problems been fixed with Ryzen? I will be connecting a 10GBE card between my server and HTPC, so I will need enough PCI-E slots to fit the SAS Controller and the NIC card.
