I took my bad Disk 2 and put it into UD to run preclear for fun. I have it do 3 cycles.

 

During the pre-read, I got a notification of "Current Pending Sector" count of 3. However, during zeroing it went down to 0. The Read Error Raw value went up from 68 to 88. As told by Johnnie, this is a dying drive.

 

Not sure what to do with this 5 years old WD Red drive..What do you guys usually do with old failing drive? Take it apart to get the disc?
