SSD Temp

I'm trying to understand if my SSD is going bad or just being worked heavy.

I just recently added a second drive to create my pool.

When writing to the Cache, are all drives in the pool written to at the same time and rate?

I have noticed that the new drive runs much much cooler than my existing drive.

They are the exact same model, one just a year or two newer.

Previously, I just thought the SSD ran hot and it was normal.

But with the new drive, Im wondering if its not supposed to be getting that hot.

Thoughts?

In all but the Single profile, all writes will write to all disks in pool. Unless you manually changed things, the answer is yes.

Where do you mount the old SSD? Is there any nearby heat source e.g. GPU, CPU etc. I have had a case where my GPU blows hot air straight into the SSD heating it up and things like that are probably your best case scenario.

Attach diagnostics also may allow the experts around here to check if there's any problem.
