prspyder
So long story short I been running unraid on an Asus X99 board for months but I wanted to upgrade to a more powerful and also IPMI capable motherboard so I bought the gigabyte MD70 Server motherboard is a C612 Chipset Dual CPU 16 slots of ram 10 sata ports and 2 mini sas ports. I tried updating the bios to the latest I updated the firmware of the SAS controllers believing this was the problem I also deactivated that controller to keep eliminating reason of why unraid wont complete the boot process I tried booting in safe mode but still it wont boot I dont get any error it just get stuck. I'm also using and USB 2.0 and booting in legacy not UEFI. Link to comment
eschultz
Try booting using UEFI by renaming the EFI- folder to EFI (remove the dash) on the flash drive and set the boot order to #1 UEFI (Flash Drive) in your BIOS. Link to comment
