drkv0rt3x
I am using Unraid 6.6.1 and having a hard time getting Unraid to continue using the onboard graphics. When I reboot the PC, the monitor output works correctly, coming from the onboard intel graphics, but if I have anything plugged into my pcie NVIDIA graphics card, then unraid will switch video output to that GPU as it booting up, which prevents me from passing it through to my gaming VM. I have already set the BIOS to default to the onboard graphics, so I'm wondering if there is a way to force unraid to keep using the intel card and ignore the nvidia card so it can pass it through to my VM consistently without having to unplug the HDMI cable every time I reboot the PC. jonp
Without more details on your hardware, it will be difficult to help. That said, some motherboard BIOSes are better than others when it comes to forcing graphics through the IGD (integrated graphics device). I remember we had one in particular that exhibited similar behavior but there was no solution. It was just a buggy motherboard BIOS that didn't respect the setting. Other things we'd like to know are whether or not you're booting in legacy mode or UEFI mode (you configure that when you prepare the USB flash or you can toggle it from the flash device settings page). drkv0rt3x
Here is a readout of my system information. I'm also wondering if passing through the PCIe controller to the VM would have any benefit. Maybe hide the card from UNRAID? If there is any other information that you would find helpful, just let me know.
