squirrellydw
I have a PC with a drive mapped to unRAID and on the PC I have a Jukebox program (FreeboxJukebox) that I have start up automatically. The problem is the drive shows up under My Computer but it doesn't reconnect unless I double click on it. So the program tells me the network share/drive is not there. How can i make the drive reconnect on each start up? Link to comment
Rajahal
Are you using user level security on the server? If so you may need to set the PC to remember the username and password. Also, will it work with a user share instead of a mapped drive? I only use user shares, and they always connect automatically for programs that feed off of them (such as uTorrent). Link to comment
squirrellydw
Yes, I am using user shares on the server. I login with the user that is on the server, xp remembers it. This may sound dumb but how do I map a user share? Link to comment
Rajahal
You don't, you create a shortcut to it. In Win7, I like to use the 'favorites' on the left of the explorer window. In WinXP, you could just create a shortcut on your desktop or wherever you like, then point your jukebox program to that. Give it a try, see what happens. Link to comment
lionelhutz
Can these programs just use the network path \\tower\disk1 instead of the mapped f:\disk1? Peter Link to comment

This may sound dumb but how do I map a user share? I use Win7, so not sure on XP, click on on My Computer, there might be a tab that says "Map a Network Drive", then browse using the Network path until you reach the share you want to map.
