Parity errors

Featured Replies

I'm getting lots of parity errors when unraid runs a scan. I have two 6tb parity drives.

This is my latest check. - Any ideas?

Assuming it was a correcting check run another correcting one without rebooting and when done please post your diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics

I get errors on every parity check. I've set it up that every parity check writes corrections.

Which files should I upload for diagnostics?

The complete diagnostics zip.

Without rebooting run another check, if more errors are found run memtest.

18 hours 42 minutes, no parity errors.
Average speed 89.1 MB/s

I assume thats ok?

Yes, as long as the errors remain at zero for the next ones, it's normal to have some sync errors following for example an unclean shutdown, but if there are more errors without a reason you'll need to investigate.

I've had a few unclean shutdown over the last couple of weeks to be fair, had some power issues at home. I'll run another check today, I think my checks are scheduled at one a week - is that too frequently?

One a month is usually considered enough, but you should also run one after any unclean shutdown.
