recover unraid

Featured Replies

so not that long ago i had a power outage on the server. i went to bot it up and was getting a black screen on boot, was thinking it needed to be re-downloaded and it would be working agen. I have then plugged the drive into my computer and got the popup box saying that it needed to be formatted, well thats ok as that would be the OS side of unraid, looked in explorer and in disk manager and found out that there is only 1 partition on the drive.

I do not have a backup of the drive and i am not tempted to reinstall unraid on it as i am hoping to be able to recover it ............. somehow. if anyone knows a good drive recovery program that i can use to get the drive back, that would be good.

All HDD in the server at this stage are ok but not wanting to boot them and loos all 25TB of data

Data is easy to recover, you can just boot with a new flash drive and reassign all disks as data disks if don't know which one is parity, the unmountable disk will be parity, but you'll need to reconfig all the other settings.
