January 6, 20197 yr I switched mobo and CPU today and now I can no longer ssh into my unRAID box from a remote computer. Any ideas how to fix this? Edited January 9, 20197 yr by ksignorini Better title. Now solved.
January 7, 20197 yr Author I'm really at a loss. I can telnet in using root as the user with the password I know. When I ssh in, it won't accept my password. On my terminal computer, I've deleted .ssh so that I can start with a fresh login (public key download from server?). I try to ssh in and it simply says Permission denied. I'd love to just reset the SSH system on the unRAID box (recreate the keys, etc.) and start over, but I have no idea how to do that. Thanks.
January 8, 20197 yr Author Anyone? I keep getting Permission Denied and I have no idea what to do next.
January 9, 20197 yr Author Fixed. Effectively, what I did was telnet into the machine and go into /boot/config and delete the ssh folder. I then removed any plugins for SSH. Then I rebooted the server. I turned the SSH server off then back on in settings and rebooted again. Now it works.
November 20, 20205 yr Same problem, no solution here yet. The delete /boot/config/ssh part is clear, but what are ssh plugins and how would I delete them? I'm on 6.9.0 beta 35.

November 20, 20205 yr Ouch, that easy.. I don't have any (the nerd tools is the only plugin whose description shows ssh*, but that shouldn't count). Seems I'm stuck now.
