Network boot

Featured Replies

Forgive me if this has been asked, but I didn't see anything in a search.  Is it possible to install a tftp server into the unraid image to allow a minimyth(or other) client to boot over the network? I figure this is something that would be perfect for an unraid server, as no resources beyond storage and networking are required.

tftpd is already included - it's called in.tftpd and is normally invoked via inetd; however, it is currently commented out in inetd.conf configuration file.  Probably easiest way to start it would be via command line in the 'go' startup script on the flash.

Here's a man-page to get you started.

thanks for the response, I'll try to RTFM before I ask a question I can't find in the forums. :P
