lixe
Hey there, which cpu should be sufficient enough for running unraid with a pfsense VM (usual home network, nothing special) and some dockers (deluge, nzb, sonarr, radarr, plex without transcoding and nextcloud), so it won’t hang up or stutter just because of unpacking some downloaded files, and also needs as little power as possible? I guess an Intel one, but which one would you recommend? Thx! Felix EDIT: maybe even an Supermicro SoC board would be an option? Edited April 3, 2019 by lixe Quote Link to comment
pappaq
Hello there, I would suggest you this Celeron J4105. I've got it one the ASRock J4105M motherboard and it rocks all my tasks: Currently 24 Docker running -> SABnzbd, Plex etc. paired with 8GB of RAM. It draws 17W from the wall and 23W under full load without any hardware attached, measured with a wattage meter. It transcodes up to 4 full-HD streams via hardware transcoding and support HEVC transcoding! I've got nextcloud running, sonarr and so on...
