SiL 3114 support confirmed!

Featured Replies

I saw on the Hardware Compatibility http://www.lime-technology.com/wordpress/?page_id=17 page that the Silicon Image SATA is untested...

Not anymore!

Just in case anyone else had any concerns around the SiL3114 chipset, I have two of these in my FIC AM37 motherboard (with a paltry 256 MB of ram...but hey, it's working!) and UnRAID see all drives plugged in to the two SATA adapters.

Everything appears to be working perfectly with the 3 drives that I've assigned to the server.

Thank you for the report!  Now get some more memory in there or there will be some strange errors eventually.  What happens is unRAID is running without any swap space.  When linux needs memory, and there's no swap space, it's just starts "randomly" killing processes leading to very strange behavior.
