September 2, 20196 yr Hi everyone, First time user here. I am having a bit of a weird problem. I have several machines on my network. Some Mac, some Windows. All of the other machines can see and access the shares I have created and are working correctly. There is one Windows 10 machine that can see the server but cannot see any of the shares. When I attempt to connect to the server I get the error seen in attachment 1. I booted the machine into safe mode with networking and when connecting to the server I get the error seen in attachment 2. I think the machine has a special network configuration set up by a family member's employer. I am not sure if this is related but thought it was worth mentioning. This machine is connected via ethernet to the router and then from the router to the server. Other machines connected to the same router are able to read and write to the array. I have been searching for this for a few hours and have not found any leads. I am hoping someone around here knows what is going on and how to rectify the situation. Thank you in advance for your kind help. SIMWAZHERE Edited September 2, 20196 yr by SIMWAZHERE Uploaded wrong picture first time. Noob mistake. Sorry
September 2, 20196 yr Community Expert there is a whole thread devoted to Windows SMB problems. WIN10 issues are the primary focus for most of the thread. Here is a link to the thread: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/53172-windows-issues-with-unraid/ You might want to begin at the end work backwards through it. Now for a word of caution: 8 hours ago, SIMWAZHERE said: I think the machine has a special network configuration set up by a family member's employer. I am not sure if this is related but thought it was worth mentioning. Most of the changes mentioned in this thread work around recent security 'features' and settings that MS has added to the SMB protocol. Plus, the employer has further enhanced these restrictions. Most likely, they do not want their computer exposed to or connected to any unapproved network including yours! I have no doubt that the employer will take a very dim view with any attempt to circumvent their policy. It could result in severe disciplinary action against the employee!
