Cache Pool Question

Featured Replies

I currently have the 3 SSD's in unraid which is setup in its default config.

I have a 1 x 500GB, 1 x 250GB and 1 x 120GB for a total pool of 435GB.

I know if I set the balance parameter to "-dconvert=single -mconvert=raid1" it will set the size to about 800GB or there abouts.

What I would like to know is if its possible to split the cache drivers completely so I have one cache drive that is made up of the 500GB SSD by itself giving me about 435 GB and the second being made of the the 250GB and the 120GB giving about 340GB.

If I understand what you are asking then no, you cannot achieve what you want as you can only have a single cache pool.

Perhaps you should explain why you want this?    It is possible it might be more appropriate to have one of the SSDs outside the cache and managed as an Unassigned Device.
