kakburken Posted September 25, 2019 Share Posted September 25, 2019 So im thinking of buying a used supermicro, that has these specs: Chassi: Supermicro 4U SC846 CPU: 2x Xeon E5-2620 6-core, 12 threads, Base 2.00GHz, Turbo 2.50GHz, 15MB cache Motherboard: X9DRi-F RAM: 64GB (8x8GB ) max 512GB (16x32GB DDR3 RDIMM) Raidcontroller: 1x LSI MegaRAID SAS 9266-8i batterybackup Backplane: BPN-SAS2-846EL1 SAS Expander Backplane PSU: 2x1200W 80+ platinum Would that work for unraid that are only gonna be used as a storage server? (no VM or stuff like that) Or is it some hardware on that list that are incompatible with unraid? Or some hardware that needs (serious) modification to work?
