Change VM to same ip range as host

Featured Replies

Hello.

I am trying to change my VMs ip to the same range as the host machine.

The VM ip is 192.168.122.xxx and the unraid box is sitting at 192.168.1.xxx

but i wanted them on the same range.

Any idea on how to do this?

I think you can bridge the connection and set the vm to use brX (ex: br0).

I only have the options for br0, and vibr0. Where br0 is a dedicated network card that is not connected to the internet. And acturally not even installed in the server atm.

I figured it out

I had to switch off bonding in the network settings.

I only have one ethernet connection, but used to have two to the server.

So i bonded eth0 into bond0, but bond0 would not show up under the VM's,

But once i switched off bonding, i can choose br0, to connect directly to the vm's
