October 11, 20196 yr Since I restarted my UNRAID yestrday the log keep telling failed to renew DHCP, rebinding... I'm not noticing any isued other than the errors in the log, and I haven't seen this occured before. Any ideas? My UNRAID have static mapping in the pfSense DHCP Here are the last couple of occurrences: Oct 11 10:21:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: failed to renew DHCP, rebinding Oct 11 10:21:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: truncated packet (77) from 192.168.15.12 Oct 11 10:21:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: truncated packet (77) from 192.168.15.12 Oct 11 10:21:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: truncated packet (77) from 192.168.15.12 Oct 11 12:06:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: failed to renew DHCP, rebinding Oct 11 12:06:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: truncated packet (77) from 192.168.15.12 Oct 11 12:06:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: truncated packet (77) from 192.168.15.12 Oct 11 12:06:53 UNRAID dhcpcd[1698]: br0: truncated packet (77) from 192.168.15.12 Edited December 9, 20196 yr by gberg tidy up
October 11, 20196 yr This thread may show some light: From my observations it seems to rebind if three successive attempts at renewing the lease fail. My DHCP server hands out 24 hour leases and the first attempt at renewal occurs at the half-way point (12h). The second occurs after another half-life (6h, or 18h total). The third attempt occurs after another half-life (3h, or 21h total). It then gives up and rebinds. What device on your network has the address 192.168.15.12?
October 13, 20196 yr Author I disabled and then re-enabled bonding, and the issue seems to be gone since I did that.
