OrangeLoon
*Full Disclosure - Nubie Linux & Unraid User * I have an intermittent problem I don't understand. Periodically the Unraid system is renewing it's IP address ever minute or so. After a reboot the problem goes away but raises it's ugly head from time to time. The server is hardwired into the router and I have about 25 devices (wired and WiFi) running on the router but only the Unraid does this. Any suggested would be appreciated. Here is a sample of the log from the Router (1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C is the unraid server): [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:51:46 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:50:41 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:49:38 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:48:33 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:47:30 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:46:26 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:45:22 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:44:18 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:43:14 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:42:11 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:41:06 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:40:02 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:38:58 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:37:54 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:36:50 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:35:47 [DHCP IP: (192.168.3.22)] to MAC address 1C:1B:0D:A9:F7:9C, Sunday, Dec 08,2019 12:34:42 Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Post up the Unraid diagnostics file in a new post! Tools >>> Diagnostics Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
WE do need the Diagnostics AFTER you have had the problem. Please indicate the approximate time and date of the problem occurrence when posting. EDIT: You could also try a static IP address for the server. OrangeLoon
Did not know about the Diagnostics - thanks for info. I have changed the IP to static and will re-post w/diagnostics if the issue happens again. Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Do make sure that you register the IP address with the router as 'Static'. Quote Link to comment
OrangeLoon
Static address worked however, now another computer is doing the same thing. Bottom line is it is not an UnRaid problem. Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
