Lost user shares and cache data

Featured Replies

After upgrading to 6.8 and making changes to my system i can no longer see any of my user shares and cache data

only issues i had was that i couldn't access server after upgrading - so followed password reset instructions - completed parity check as i couldn't log in to shut down so had to pull the power!

Next i added fans, but when starting back up, lost my cache altogether. I figured i hadnt plugged in correctly, got that sorted but it showed as a new device, and i added it back as a cache - it did not format! (that i know of)

Now i cant see any of my user shares or cache data

Any assistance appreciated

Diagnostics attached

Thanks

so i have just run 'fix common problems' and it tells me that var/log is full and to restart.

upon restarting i have now lost a data disk and cache - both showing as no device

Time to power down, open the case and check all cabling again!

The syslog shows that the cache drive appears to have dropped offline and thus all attempts to initialise the cache are giving errors.    The drive is not even being listed under the SMART information.   It is also showing that disk1 has failed to mount and there is no disk2 or disk3 (is this expected?

Disk 1 i just added - but doe shave errors

and disk 2 & 3 slots are empty as consolidated some drives a while ago
