Intel graphics passthrough

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I am pretty new in unraid, but it seems I can not correctly passthrough my intel graphics iGPU to my windows VM, in the panel it seems pretty simple how to do it, it just has the option:

And it seems to be passed to the VM, but I am not able to make it work, as it gives me code 43.

What I can see is, that as it is my main screen for unraid console, the console dissapears, as expected behaviour, but the windows display is not appearing, though I am able to connect to the VM with rdp correctly, and see that the igpu is giving me error code43.

Has anyone deal with this before, and might know whats happening? Any help will be appreciated :)

Kind regards

Bump. I always thought the code 43 error was just present with Nvidia passthroughs, but aparently not. I can't find any info about how to fix this for an iGPU. Anyone have any ideas?

I assume that your VM does not have the driver support for the IGD yet. Either do a Windows update after the passthrough via RDP - you can also open the device manager, click on your graphics adapter and update the driver. Or even better (because most of the time more up-to-date) install the latest driver from Intel via their website.

After you where able to passthrough you might still not see any output on your monitor (depending on VM Bios, maschine type, host boot mode etc.). Then take a look at this thread.

I assume you already blacklisted the IGD via the known methods (i.e. vfio pci stubbing, kernel parameter etc.).
