AMD Epyc unRaid Build

Featured Replies

I've done some searching but can't find anything specific to AMD Epyc related builds (Also tried to read the build recommendations wiki/page but nothing specific to Epyc.).  The plan is to get the following with the possibility later on to add 10GB network, more RAM, more disk.  Half way future proof it.  I have a few NVMe drives laying around I'd like to use in some way to help increase performance over all as well.  Other usage will be 2-3 VM servers for Camera Server, Plex, and miscellaneous software testing.

64 or 128GB DDR4 ECC RAM.

Using this chassis.

Just looking for any kind of guidance or other suggestions.

I use a SUPERMICRO MBD-M11SDV-8C-LN4F-O on my Unraid server. Epyc 3251 based. Works fine for my use (10 docker containers, 3-5 VMs, file server).

I don't have any comments on 10GB ethernet, as I see it it as a waste (for my home use) until the switches come down in price.

hi Jason,

how do you get the temp sensors into unraid with this Epyc type?
