Help with PCIe eSATA cards

Featured Replies

So I'm pausing on the graphics card passthrough issue and concentrating on getting the base server up and running.

A crucial part of this setup is the number of drives.  I have 2 T5RM external enclosures connected to eSATA cards.   I pulled one of the cards in and hooked up one of the enclosures with a couple of disks in it.   Nothing.  Like it's not even there.  I know there's no such thing as drivers in this situation.   Where do I start?  What do I look for?   I've already spent so much $ (more than I intended) on this I really don't want to have to buy new eSATA cards as well!   (At least unless I KNOW they will work!)

Where do I start?

THANK YOU!

Does your BIOS see the eSATA cards and/or drives?

It doesn't seem to.   Maybe these are just too old?   😞
