Error on SMB Unraid share mount instable system

Featured Replies

HI

I mounted a unraid smb share on another unraid server

but I get this error

Feb 18 11:17:21 Tower emhttpd: error: get_filesystem_status, 6512: Operation not supported (95): getxattr: /mnt/user/appdata2

I have use this to mount the share on  unraid server

mount -t cifs //192.16x.xx.xx/rootshare /mnt/user/Array2 -o [email protected],password=,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777

When I also try to unmout it says busy.

The first Unraid server are my main server that alsways running.

The Second are Vm Unraid server that I plan to use as Archive server that i have passthrought a raid card to handels my big disk expansion

the disk expansion take lot of power and I try to run my system on lesser energy but still have almost same function.

So I need a safe way to unmount the share without making the system unstable.

If I stop the unraid Vm without unmout it the system start to lag and behave strange.

I want to unmout it before i shutdown the VM and mount it when the vm have fully start

Because your mounting it within /mnt/user, and unRaid doesn't support SMB mounts within there, so it's trying to get the extended attributes for the folder which it obviously cant'

Either mount it within /mnt/disks or use the Unassigned Devices plugin.
