Shared GPU

Featured Replies

So here is another N00b question I can not find an answer for (maybe im just bad at search querys and I think I know the answer but im asking anyways..).  Is a GPU abled to be shared in unraid for example. I have a P2000 used for transcoding in Plex but I would also like to build a VM that runs OBS to stream some stuff and I need something to help with the encoding in the VM since I dont have a dedicated GPU for it, can the p2000 be shared to handle the encoding/decoding of the stream for twitch, Im not gaming just trying to Livestream the desktop.. Thanks

afaik no. You could look for a docker dedicated to obs streaming. The gpu is shared between the host and dockers.

ok so multiple dockers can share the GPU, just not docker/VM. Am I understanding that right?
