Plex docker slow/super slow metadata

Featured Replies

So I can't figure out what I have done wrong or what has changed. I started having issues with my plex being slow , taking a while to skip forward or back or load shows. So I setup a test plex on my gaming machine and it works fine. Loads metadata super fast. On the Docker if I add a new folder it will find all the movies fast and when it goes to start loading the metadata it taking around 1-2 minutes to get 2-3 movies. It would take a month to load my movies/tv shows. I even made a VM on the unraid server and loaded plex on it and it runs fine and loads metadata fine. My unraid server is a dual E5-2630 v3 8 core with 64gigs of ram. Also have 2 ssd's for cache drives. Also tried different plex docker's. Be very grateful if some one could point me in the right direction. Thanks

It is recommended that you install a Linux system in VM, and then start pms-docker on the Linux system. Once I started pms-docker on the unriad docker, but it was super slow!

You sure you media directory should be /mnt/ I mean Plex is probably scanning your entire unRAID system, all your shares for media. I would narrow that down to a specific media share. Something like /mnt/user/share*where*my*media*lives.
