Entxawp
I want to move Disk 4 to a different position in the array, so that the two precleared drives can take the position of Disk 4 and 5 and then the 4TB drive that now is Disk 4 will become disk 6 or 7. Is there a easy way to change the position of a drive in the array without having to run the entire array through a Parity-Check? Quote Link to comment

The calculations for parity1 are not affected by the position a drive occupies. You can achieve the results you want by/; stop the array go to Tools >> New Config, select the option to keep current assignments; click the confirmation checkbox and click on Apply. return to the Main tab and change the assignments for the drives you want to the slots you want click the Parity is Valid checkbox start the array to commit the changes. You can now follow the normal process for adding the pre-cleared drives. Quote Link to comment
