TomT
Hi, I currently have 2 unRaid servers (Pro and unlicensed). I'd like to find out the easiest and fastest way to move files between the 2 without using any client computer running Windows. Through Windows, it is just too slow and requires the computer to be running the entire time. Is there command line to move files from one ip address (of the unraid server) to another? Thanks. teamhood
Rsync!! http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=9527.msg91190#msg91190 Link to comment
dgaschk
This may be fastest. rsync is easier and safer. If you have more than a terabyte: 1) Physically move the drives from one server to the other. If you can leave the drives use initconfig. 2) If you need to move the drives back, cp the files to existing drives. Then rebuild parity. Link to comment

Yes, it is much faster. The purpose is to just to copy some files to another server for backup. I lost too many files with the V4.5.3 bugs. Thanks! Link to comment
dgaschk
Upgrading to 4.6 might help with file loss. It only requires copying 3 files to your flash and rebooting. Link to comment
