When i plug it inso slot one my secong 10g nic isnt recognized anymore. I bought the NIC used but pretestet from a used server company so i didnt know if its working but when i have to guess i think so. I attached my diagnostics.  I hope someone can help me winserver-diagnostics-20200715-1955.zip Quote
JorgeB Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 There's a known issue with those NICs, it's not detected on most PCIe 2.0 or newer slots, e.g.: https://www.dell.com/community/PowerEdge-Hardware-General/Intel-PRO-1000-PT-PCI-E-Quad-EXPI9404PTBLK-T110/td-p/3881138 Quote
Winjet Posted July 16, 2020 Author Posted July 16, 2020 Strange, the documentation says its PCI-E 2.0 x4 so how could it be it wont work on 2.0 or higher... So could it be a souloution to change the PCI-E version to 1.0 ? As far as I know it should be possible to adjust it, please correct me if I'm wrong. Quote
JorgeB Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Specs say: Â Bus type PCI Express 2.0 (2.5 GT/s) Â Which is strange since 2.5GT/s is PCIe 1.0, in any case and IIRC it's a known issue those NICs. Quote
Winjet Posted July 16, 2020 Author Posted July 16, 2020 Okay, so i can troubleshoot this, i have an old system with a intel core quad qx9650 in theory u say it should work on this because it has 1.0 and 2.0 slots ? Quote
Winjet Posted July 16, 2020 Author Posted July 16, 2020 okay, on PCI-E 2.0 and 1.0 it doesnt even light the leds so its even more worse.. I will get a new one Quote
Dan! Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Have just built my first NAS. I have a Gigabyte H470M DS3H which has the intel i219-v NIC. I have booted from the bootable unraid USB and got to the login but cannot access the GUI to complete registration. The onboard GUI doesn't load either using HDMI, the screen just goes black. All help and suggestions greatly appreciated. Quote

itimpi Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Have you tried with 6.9 beta release? Â Â It has drivers for some of the more recent NIC chipsets that are not present in the 6.8.3 release.. Quote
Dan! Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Thank you for the help and advice! The new version along with a previous post covering BIOS settings got me to the GUI. Quote
