GUID blacklisted on first installation

Featured Replies

Hello,

I installed unRAID for the fist time on my new usb key, and it seems have a problem. When I launched the machine and access to web interface, there is a red message who says: "flash device blacklisted". When I click on it, I have a strange UUID. I attached the picture for you.

I tried to change the port of usb key, format a lot of time and it doesn't work. I also try the usb creator, the key is not reconized.

Can you please help me to solve this problem ?

Greetings,

Obviously not unique so can't be licensed.

You must use a different Flash.

No you cannot change it. The GUID is hard coded into the flash drive itself and the one you bought does not have a unique GUID. It has a generic GUID that is the same for many flash drives produced by that manufacturer.

It is blacklisted because someone already tried to license UnRAID with a flash drive with the same GUID.

You need a new flash drive from a reputable manufacturer with a unique GUID.

Most Samsung, Kingston, Lexar, SanDisk, etc will work.

Watch this video for some candidates to help you get a good one. Obviously no guarantee and YMMV and such but still better than randomly picking one.
