Disk Errors

Hello,

 

I logged in to my server today to play around with my new VN and noticed one of my disks had alot of errors what should I do?

    Disk 4 has read and write errors which could be caused by a bad cable.  I would check and replace the sata cable if need be and then run an extended SMART.  If they errors persist after that I would change the drive.

    Yes Disk 4 was the one that was kicked off my array. I will try swapping out sata cables and run a extended smart test.

    And of course, you will have to rebuild the disabled disk. Do you know how?

    Yes I think I remember how to rebuild the drive. Im pretty sure the drive is failing, its got over 3 years on it.
