Noni Posted October 8, 2020 Share Posted October 8, 2020 Hey Guys Im currently running a Synology NAS and im very familiar with IT however my family is not. I want to create a new Enviroment with Unraid. My Firewall is very limited and the standard Ports are open. I currently use the DS apps like (DS-Photo, DS-Music, DS-File) to access my NAS from Remote. What good alternatives are there on Unraid? Should be easy to understand without a big IT Know-How. I read about Plex offering this. My Question is is it accessable with Ports open 80, 443? I had not to open any ports for my synology nas. Or do you use other apps then Plesk? Blocking incoming ports are the purpose of firewall. You definitely don't want to allow most ports especially 80,443. Use the built-in WireGuard VPN if you want remote access to your server.
