November 9, 20205 yr almost all of my shares are public except for 1 share that is set to private with only a user read/write. i am able to enter credentials on solidexplorer using my android and it works fine but on windows i cant seem to login when it asks for a username and password.
November 10, 20205 yr Read this thread starting with the post and see if that solves your problem. https://forums.unraid.net/topic/25064-user-share-problem/?tab=comments#comment-228392 It is also important to realize that SMB will only allow one login to the SMB server (Unraid) from each client computer. Plus, Windows client computers will often do this in the background. If those login credentials don't match what is required for the Private share, it will ask for the user name and password but that request will always fail because there is already a client logged on from that computer...
November 10, 20205 yr Author works thanks! i tried to google this a year ago when i first got unraid but wasnt really needed. just have to re map the shares on windows.
