dalmar72
I have a Dell PERC H200 9211-8I 6Gb SAS SATA dross flashed to lsi it mode and it is working fine on an old dell vostro 470 mobo, intel i5-3450 cpu, have 7 hard drives connected and all is good. I wanted to re-use my old pc.. intel i5-660k on a msi z170a gaming m5 motherboard, but as soon as i put the sas adpter i, it wont boot. not even to the bios. wont turn display on just hangs, i've set the boot mode to be legacy + uefi but made no difference, I never installed the boot bios onto the card when i cross flashed because I was never planning on booting to it, should i try reflashing the card with a boot bios, or anyone have any ideas how i can get a uefi motherboard to boot with this card in it? thanks Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Unlikely the BIOS would help, it should boot fine without it in legacy or UEFI mode, most likely this, or a compatibility issue with that board. Quote Link to comment
dalmar72
ya i just read about the tape fix, I will give it a shot, it is suspect because currently it is working on an old dell pc motherbord. Quote Link to comment
