keyvan
Just seen this motherboard: http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=ZYgjt71bzlh62Zk9 which has a total of 10 SATA/eSATA onboard ports: Intel® P67 Express Chipset 2 xSATA 6.0 Gb/s ports (brown) 4 xSATA 3Gb/s ports (black) Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Support RAID 0,1,5,10 Marvell® PCIe SATA 6Gb/s controller 2 xSATA 6Gb/s ports (gray) JMicron® JMB362 SATA controller 1 xPower eSATA 3Gb/s port (green) 1 xExternal SATA 3Gb/s port (red) I wonder if this would make a suitable M/B for unRAID.... Any comments on problems with hardware support? Is it likely to run into problems? I know to use the eSATA (not sure about the "powered" one!?) a cable needs to loop back into the case, but other than that it looks like a tough & durable board and 10 ports onboard are a great help. StevenD
I have an ASUS P8P67 Pro. It boots, but the ethernet drivers arent in unRAID yet. Ive been advised to try it again once the 5.0-beta 3 is released. Link to comment
neilt0
That board looks nice. It has an EFI BIOS as well. From what I've read, Power-eSATA should be backwardly compatible with eSATA, but be careful, of course. Link to comment
