is it possible that my tv tuner recordings are temp dumping into the wrong directly or into a directory that is limited on space before they are moved off to my main storage?

Hi,

I would check indeed which directory in the docker container gets filled out and then I would map that directory to the cache drive so that the docker container does not get filled up.

In the unraid docker page, you can right click on the Plex icon and open a terminal window for that docker container. From there you can check the files of the container.

I don't know for TV tuner recordings but for example, regarding Plex transcodes, it is possible to set the transcoding directory in Plex's settings and then you would just need to map that directory to your /appdata/plex/Transcodes directory on your cache drive.

I hope this helps.

Best,

OP

Looks like one or several containers are not properly setup and write stuff to the image instead of drives (cache/array/UD).

If the data goes up and down, probably some downloads being done on the image (filling up) then moved outside the image (recovering some space).

If you are not sure, you should look at the Docker FAQ in general and the part about image filling up in particular :

If I am on the right track and you don't want to loose the data being downloaded or shared AND that you don't risk filling the image completely, maybe wait for all current downloads to be completed before making changes.

One way to see what container can be the issue can be to check container size on the docker page.

For exact configuration of specific dockers, check the specific support thread.
