    Hello,

just this morning i was checking on my unraid server and had it freeze on me.

It currently still is and i will leave it there for a little while in case there are suggestions what to try or how to proceed in order to figure out what went wrong.

Up time was 10 days 10 hours 48 minutes. I still remember what i did right before it froze.

    Last activities....

Start of Windows 10 VM (with HW pass through of graphics card and hw sound). VM did not start, only the red circular busy symbol was shown.

Not sure if it was before or after start of VM but i did update unassigned devices as well.

    As a result:

    - web interface no longer accessible

    - smb shares not working

    - ssh not working

    - ping not working

    - unable to retrieve log files at this moment

    Thank you !

    regards

    Edit:

I have restarted unraid and attached the diagnosis log file.

    Update:

After unraid restart my SSD mounted by unassigned devices plugin shows up but cannot access file structure on it.

This SSD was housing the (2) VM disks. Did not see anything special when checking SMART data on it.

It appears to be empty to me. Idea's what to do ? If the SSD was failing then there should be some kind of error in the SMART data correct?

    See screen shot.

sde isn't mounting because the UD plugin, together with some others, didn't install properly, try re-downloading them:

Ok thank you for the info.

Here is what i just did:

    1. i reinstalled unassigned devices first followed by a reboot of unraid

    --> no success

    2. unistalled unassigned devices followed by a reboot

    3. installed unassigned devices followed by a reboot

-> the SSD was now able to be mounted again. The VM would now start again.

    my personal opinion (conclusion):

To me it looks like that after i updated unassigned devices this morning something went wrong with the update. But this did not stop me or unraid from trying to start the VM which failed and then crashed unraid since the SSD was "gone".
