  • 6.7.3-rc4 Docker Owner.Group Incorrect.

When created a new docker container, permissions are created with root.root instead of nobody.users - at least on my system anyway.  I've now downgraded to 6.6.7 again until the 6.8 comes out.  Thought you guys should know in case this config error comes through in a future version.

It means that dockers won't start and suspect it's been causing a few other oddities I was wondering about.

Would be great if you guys could create us a category between minor and urgent - as often things don't seem to fit into those.

    Many thanks,

I'm not sure I understand which permissions are wrong. Is it the files created by the container or the layers downloaded and stored in the docker.img?

Well the main thing i notice is that the docker folder set via the app data path is created as root.root. Then the rocker log complained that it couldn’t write to /var/lib etc. Happened on a few dockers I tried.  Manually changing it didn’t help. Downgrading to 6.6.7 helped. Probably downgrading to any other version as I only noticed it in this one. Maybe it just got stuck but thoug is better report it. Maybe you can replicate.

I see. My servers are down after lightning killed all my network equipment including ethernet ports on motherboards, so can't check it here unfortunately.

It is rural, but it's not that far from Oslo. I got insurance, so it's covered, but they are slow... I bought a used switch, but it sounds like a jet plane, so waiting on some quiet fans so it's possible to be in the house when it's on 😜
