• Unraid 6.12 RC 6 ZFS Single disk to 2 Mirror Disk error

Hi, I read that Unraid 6.12 ZFS support converting single ZFS disk in a pool into mirrored pool up to 3 devices.

When I tried to convert my single ZFS to mirror pool with 2 devices, it produces "Wrong pool state. invalid expansion" error.

    What I did was:

    1. Stop the array

    2. Increase the slots of the cache pool from 1 to 2

    3. Assign the second device to the second slot.

    4. Start the array

I wonder if that's how you are supposed to do the ZFS conversion from single disk to mirror vdev in unraid?

FYI, the pool only consist of 1 vdev of 1 single disk

Your existing pool has the wrong config, not sure how that happened, but please try this:

-unassign both NVMe devices from that pool

    -start array

    -stop array

    -assign original NVMe device only

    -start array

    -stop array

-now re-assign the other one to create the mirror, if still issues post new diags.

unfortunately I already added the mirror disk manually. I did it with zpool attach command through CLI.

however, unraid won't import the pool.

So I deleted the pool, and recreate the pool using different name and imported the pool. By then the pool imported fine.

I stopped the array again to rename back the pool to its original name.
