  1. This was correct. I just took your predefined line (+maxplayers 8 +map c2m1_highway) out and added '+server.cfg' in it's place. And no worries on the "lateness" on this reply. I kept poking around at things, learning the container, and configuring things as I moved along. Thank you for your help!
  2. Dear ich777, I come to you again because I am at a loss and need assisting wrapping my head around your L4D2 container, because I have now confused myself hitting a dead end now. I am wanting to set up a the dedicated server, starting from the first map of L4D2 and end on the last map of L4D2. Not going to worry about custom addons or maps at this point in time. The container has the default put in for the Game Parameters: '+maxplayers 8 +map c2m1_highway'. Do I need to configure this line to say: '+maxplayers 8 +map c2m1_highway +server.cfg'? And then configure the config file to rotate between the maps? Or what would be the best way to perform this? As a side question to this, does the game lobby run off of the dedicated server? (Can I force start the container to wait for all players to be ready?) Or is L4D2 not designed to do that? EDIT: Please disregard this post. I was able to make some headway and was able to get the mod working, how to join a party to the server, and tested that it was working locally! Now I just need to figure out the port for external access....
  3. Hey ich777! I was doing some more research into my SDL issue I was having and some other people were suggesting that SDL needed to be installed. Could this be true? How would I go about updating/installing SDL?
  4. If i understand what you're saying, this would be amazing.
  5. I sincerely appreciate the assistance! Can I also side bar a question related to this? If I had this workshop mod already installed on my L4D2 client, could I copy the core files and customize a config file to permit access as well? I know it's not a container question, but the thought came up Thank you again!
  6. I did just RECENTLY install PiHole. I can try temp disabling it and trying again
  7. I made progress! Still getting a timeout error though: steam@62f1d9651aaa:/$ ${STEAMCMD_DIR}/steamcmd.sh +login anonymous +force_install_dir ${SERVER_DIR} +workshop_download_item 550 2032670332 +quit Redirecting stderr to '/serverdata/Steam/logs/stderr.txt' /tmp/dumps is not owned by us - delete and recreate Unable to delete /tmp/dumps. 8. Thank you very much for the assistance with this! I am very new to all of this and still am struggling. I've opened the web terminal window and typed in 'docker exec -ti Left4Dead2 /bin/bash' and pushed enter. After doing that, I know see 'root@62f1d9651aaa:' Where do I need to type in the '$USER'? If I enter '$USER' here, and push enter, I'm prompted with a command error. If I run '${STEAMCMD_DIR}/steamcmd.sh +login anonymous +force_install_dir ${SERVER_DIR} +workshop_download_item 550 2032670332 +quit' it appears to begin downloading and then prompts me a timeout error eventually.
  9. I honestly thought that $SERVER_DIR was a place holder for whatever my dir was. My apologies, I misunderstood you. I tried the command that you had suggested. This was the output: Steam>root@Tower:~# docker exec -it Left4Dead2 sh # ${STEAMCMD_DIR}/steamcmd.sh +login anonymous +force_install_dir ${SERVER_DIR} +workshop_download_item 222860 2032670332 +quit Redirecting stderr to '/root/Steam/logs/stderr.txt' /tmp/dumps is not owned by us - delete and recreate [ 0%] Checking for available updates... 10. Awesome! I might need a little bit more personal assistance with the command you provided. I thought I had done this, but I was mistaken and had to reinstall the container because I tried to install the workshop mod and overwrote the map folder. Here is what I had originally tried using for my command. I feel like im very close: 'force_install_dir "/serverdata/serverfiles/lef4dead2/maps" +workshop_download_item 222860 2032670332' After I ran that, I was then prompted with this: /data/src/clientdll/applicationmanager.cpp (4312) : Assertion Failed: m_vecInstallBaseFolders.Count() > 0'
  11. Hey, sorry for the late reply back to you. I was able to get everything running. I confirmed that I can connect locally (I can easily get external access working). Now what I'm trying to accomplish is get some custom maps downloaded. Specifically this particular map/addon: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2032670332 I tried running this command: "force_install_dir "/serverdata/serverfiles/lef4dead2/maps" +workshop_download_item 222860 2032670332" After I did this I was prompted with this error: "/data/src/clientdll/applicationmanager.cpp (4312) : Assertion Failed: m_vecInstallBaseFolders.Count() > 0" What would be the best way to get that workshop item added to the dedicated server container?
  12. Hello, I recently installed Pterodactyl container, performed the '/var/www/html # php artisan p:user:make' task(s) (create admin account, added email, username, FN, LN, password). After completing the tasks, I received this error: In PDOConnection.php line 31: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'pterodactyl'@'172.17.0.1' (using password: YES) In PDOConnection.php line 27: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'pterodactyl'@'172.17.0.1' (using password: YES) Help please
  13. Is there anyone that could give me a hand with the Left4Dead2 container? I'm trying to get things set up properly, but I have about 0 XP with linux and can't really find a good tutorial on how to get this running. The logs are showing me this as of now: Connecting anonymously to Steam Public...Logged in OK Waiting for user info...OK Success! 14. Hello, I'm sorry if this is the wrong spot to post about this, but I'm receiving this error message when trying to launch the Killing Floor 2 dedicated server docker container: "/serverdata/serverfiles/Binaries/Win64/KFGameSteamServer.bin.x86_64: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" -I've verified that the file is there. -I've performed a full/fresh install of both KF2 dedicated server and SteamCMD within the unraid docker Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! @ich777 I spoke with some people on the unRAID discord. They're saying that 'curl' is missing. Can you look into this?
